The signing of MANNY GARCIA isn’t the only instance of CWF Mid-Atlantic talent winding up in WWE, check out this timeline of other notable CWF and WWE crossovers:


October 2004: MAGNO competes alongside BRAD ATTITUDE, SICODELICO JR. and others for CWF Mid-Atlantic. Magno would spend time at the Mid-Atlantic Dojo and then go on to travel the world wrestling internationally before joining NXT in April 2015 alongside Garcia. Sicodelico Jr and Attitude would also go on to WWE futures as Espiral and Brad Allen respectively as part of WWE’s FCW developmental territory.

January 2006: CWF Mid-Atlantic Dojo graduate KRISSY VAINE signs with WWE and reports to Deep South Wrestling in Atlanta, GA.

November 2007:  CWF Mid-Atlantic Dojo graduate BRAD ATTITUDE announces at Ultimate Survivor 2007  he has signed a deal with WWE. He’d spend over a year there where he’d capture what is now known as the NXT Tag-Team Championship with Dolph Ziggler.

January 2009: CESARO (then known as CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI) teams with his long-time partner Ares to face Kirby and TJ Mack at New Year’s Knockout 2009.

July 2010: RYAN O’REILLY (now known as KONOR of the Ascension) re-signs with WWE. In between stints with WWE, O’Reilly was a founding member of the Aftermath and frequent tag-team partner of Ric Converse, after making his debut at the 2008 CWF Rumble.

August 2010: SAMI ZAYN (then known as “EL GENERICO”) competes against ANDREW EVERETT and XSIRS in an Ultra J Championship match at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium.

January 2011: “DANGEROUS E” COREY EDSEL announces his signing with WWE after impressing officials at a tryout camp. He would spend time in developmental before being sidelined with a debilitating injury that put his in-ring career in jeopardy.

August 2012:  SCOTT DAWSON (then known as K.C. McKNIGHT) competes in the 2012 Weaver Cup Tournament in one his last matches before joining NXT, facing “THE ASSASSIN” RAY KANDRACK. Dawson now competes as one-half of the Mechanics with Dash Wilder on NXT events.

February 2013: KEVIN OWENS (then known as KEVIN STEEN) faces ARIK ROYAL in a wild bout pitting ROH Champion vs. Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion that sees referees KO’d before a decision can be rendered. Owens would go on to be defeated by CWF’s own TREVOR LEE in Owens’ final match before heading to NXT in July 2014.

April 2015: CWF Mid-Atlantic Dojo graduate MANNY GARCIA signs with World Wrestling Entertainment and reports to the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida to join the NXT brand.
