THE 16th ANNUAL JOHNNY WEAVER CUP TOURNAMENT CONTINUES!!!
The 16th Annual Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament continues with two 2nd Round Matches on July 27th!!! This year is the biggest tournament ever as not only will the winner gain the glory of capturing the prestigious Johnny Weaver Cup and getting their name etched on the trophy, but they will also win the vacant Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship!!!
2nd ROUND WEAVER CUP MATCHES FOR JULY 13TH
We’re down to the “Elite Eight” which will soon be the “Final Four” and what an incredible eight competitors remain including 2015 Winner Roy Wilkins, 2014 Winner Brad Attitude, 2009 Winner Kamakazi Kid, 2005 Champion Jesse Ortega, 2011 & 2012 Winner Arik Royal, 2018 runner up Cam Carter, 2018 final four Cain Justice, and Ethan Alexander Sharpe! Match-ups will be released as we move closer to the actual event date!
2nd ROUND WEAVER CUP MATCH:
KAMAKAZI KID vs. ETHAN ALEXANDER SHARPE
The 2009 Weaver Cup Winner, the Kamakazi Kid, has seemingly resurrected his career with a series of huge victories, including the brutal “Kazi Rules” match that sent his opponent Aric Andrews to the hospital. Kazi defeated one of his biggest rivals, Nick Richards, to start his climb to the top once again. This time he’ll be facing perhaps the most evil person in CWF Mid-Atlantic and big boss of “Corruption,” one Ethan Alexander Sharpe. Sharpe pulled off the biggest upset in tournament history by defeating Aaron Biggs in his first round match. Will Kazi continue to Finals Night or with Sharpe and his band of goons derail one of the most popular CWF wrestlers of all-time?
2nd ROUND WEAVER CUP MATCH:
CAM CARTER vs. CAIN JUSTICE
Two of the top young athletes in the Mid-Atlantic will clash once again in the Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament. Last year Cam Carter knocked off Cain Justice in the Final Four to move to the finals while Justice has to watch on the sidelines. Justice had another opportunity to redeem himself at this year’s Kernodle Brothers Tag Team Tournament. Facing Carter in a special bonus match, Justice found himself counting the lights as he was pinned by Carter.
It’s deja vu all over again as Carter and Justice will collide on July 27th to determine which of these two will make it to Finals Night. A win by Cam Carter will not shock anyone as Justice has found himself sidetracked by his hatred of Ethan Alexander Sharpe and his “Corruption” members. Can Cain stay focused on this important match or will the ever smooth Cam Carter again find himself at Finals Night?
Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Title Match
CORRUPTION vs. THE ALL-STARS
Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions, “Corruption”, will be defending their titles on July 27th. Dirty Daddy & Killer Koga has developed a great chemistry with the leadership of big boss Ethan Alexander Sharpe. Together they seem unstoppable! There is a big list of challengers that have submitted their contracts to face the champions but only one team will get the championship bout. Who will it be??? Stay tuned!!!
Surprising Update as to who will be the challengers! Roy Wilkins & Arik Royal will face Corruption for the tag titles! “The World’s Greatest Coach in the World” demanded the AllStars get a title shot after Killer Koga attacked Roy Wilkins prior to their Weaver Cup bout while Ethan Alexander Sharpe and Dirty Daddy provided the distraction. Coach was livid about the situation, which happened while both All-Stars Arik Royal and TGA Moss were absent, and vowed that his goal of having the first-ever CWF Triple Crown Champion will start on July 27th by capturing the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles with the second step to be winning the Weaver Cup and the Mid-Atlantic Hwt. Title on August 22nd.
This is sure to be a wild one as The All-Stars will be in full force when they step into the batter’s box to face Corruption!!!
All this and much more!!! INCLUDING: Adrian “Action” Jackson; Michael McAllister; “Cowboy” Kool Jay; Donald BitDon with Khan O’Kelly; “Viva Las Amish” Hezekiah Hoskins, Jebediah Moss & Danny Vegas; Buddy Flowers; Strength in Numbers and more!!!
