Stephanie McMahon and John Cena Comes Together On What’s Your Story? With Stephanie McMahon To Share Their Epic WWE Run!

The 17-Time WWE Legend is now finally making his retirement plans, with December 2025 being his last run in WWE.

In his latest interview with a wrestling promoter, Stephanie McMahon, John spoke about his health and family, and why he is leaving WWE.

According to the WWE legend, he is no longer healthy enough to compete in the ring, and thinks that he has had enough of the WWE.

During his time in What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon, the 17-time champion, shared.

“I can’t do even do these lifts anymore because my body’s so beat up. So, as soon as I got through that jagged pill of like, ‘Oh man, I’m never gonna overhead press 375 pounds ever again. But let’s work to see what best I can for today is.’ You know, it’s a very similar course to WWE. My skills are on regress. If I continue at a full-time physical capability or involvement, I’m not gonna run right, my partner is not gonna run right, and our relationship isn’t gonna run right.”

The interview was filmed in John Cena’s gym in Tampa, Florida, where he talked about his upbringing and how he trained himself there, and now he can even lift weights there.

While talking about the wrestling career, Stephanie also thanked John Cena for inspiring all the children and families, making his legacy an impactful growth in the coming generations.

In addition to John Cena’s turn, WWE Journey, and his retirement plan, the show also takes an emotional turn when Stephanie shares about her relationship with Triple H and how she thought she nearly lost him.

I always had a feeling that I was gonna lose him early. I just had that feeling. And after we got through everything, that feeling went away. It’s like a pattern that was supposed to happen changed. And it was, I mean, such a gift, truly, but. And then I started going through all this stuff in the company and I realized there is nothing more important to me than my family, than my husband and my kids. And that’s what matters most. And I want to give as much time as I possibly can.

Moving on with the podcast, both the WWE Stars open up honestly about each other, and share an impactful journey with the few hours of thier time.

When Stephanie asks whether Cena is leaving WWE at the best time, he says yes, while it’s not the same, but it’s evolving, and Cena doesn’t think like he is quitting at the wrong time.

While the podcast does not address John Cena’s remaining time in the WWE, it totally focuses on the past experiences and journey of both WWE Stars.

There are still a few months of Cena in WWE, so things might get quite interesting on the way with past rivalry and romance rising once again in Cena’s life.
