Pimpinela Escarlata Is Featured in WWE Shop, Hinting at the Possibility of AAA Stars Debuting in WWE
Pimpinela Escarlata is one of the legendary figures in Lucha Libre, who is a Mexican wrestler named initially as Mario González Lozano.
With his flamboyant exotico persona, Pimpinela made a significant impact during Triplemanía XXXIII on August 16, 2025.
This event marked the first major collaboration between WWE and AAA, with WWE handling the production and featuring several WWE Superstars alongside AAA talent.
During the Copa Bardahl match, Pimpinela Escarlata delivered a memorable performance, engaging with WWE’s Otis and showcasing his unique style.
With the success of this collaboration, there is growing speculation that WWE is planning to bring the AAA talent to the roster, hinting at the deeper bond between these platforms.
Triplemanía XXXIII served as a showcase for this collaboration, featuring WWE Superstars like Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and Natalya competing alongside AAA’s top talent.
While the Copa Bardahl match was going on, Pimpinela Escarlata made quite an entry into the ring, and what was shocking was that he shared quite a romance with Otis.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, who was watching the match from the stands, appeared visibly displeased with Pimpinela’s actions toward the WWE Superstar.
While some fans say it was a fun moment in the ring involving Pimpinela’s kissing sequence, on the other hand, some are quite angry with the industry, saying that wrestling no longer retains its old hardcore edge and that it is making jokes in the ring.
So, with the collaboration between these going on, there is speculation that Pimpinela, a 56-year-old wrestler, might be debuting in WWE.
However, the speculation seems to hold quite a low chance, but WWE has already made plans with Pimpinela, featuring his t-shirt brand in WWE Shops.
WWE Shop currently sells official Pimpinela Escarlata merchandise, including t-shirts, as part of a new WWE–AAA collaboration.
In addition to featuring AAA talents in WWE Shop, WWE has already brought up a few of the Triplemanía talents from AAA, which includes El Grande Americano, who we saw on the previous week’s Raw talking to The Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio.

El Hijo del Vikingo and Mr. Iguana are a few other AAA stars who are also set to appear in the WWE, Worlds Collide event on September 12, 2025, in Las Vegas.
