SmackDown GM Nick Officially Announces The Miz and Carmelo Hayes Vs Fraxiom!

The Miz and Carmelo Hayes made their tag team debut on SmackDown on February 21, 2025, in a tag team match with R-Truth and LA Knight.

Since their first debut, Melo Don’t Miz has not been seen in any tag team matches, which has led to some speculation about a possible breakdown of the newly formed team.

Following this, the SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, has set Melo Don’t Miz in a tag team match against Fraxiom, a tag team in WWE, consisting of Axiom and Nathan Frazer.

While Carmelo and The Miz have not been on good terms over the past few months, recently, when Carmelo was about to speak to the GM about his WWE United States Championship opportunity.

The Miz interrupted and didn’t let him talk to the manager. As Carmelo left the office, it was clear he was not happy with his tag team partner.

With the rising tension between Carmelo and The Miz, there is a possibility that the tag team might break up, as Carmelo seems quite frustrated with Miz’s latest behavior.

The upcoming SmackDown could feature an exciting tag team match, and we might also see Carmelo confronting Miz for his actions, possibly seeking another shot at the Intercontinental Championship.

In addition to this, SmackDown GM has also announced that another tag team match between DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) will go up against The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford).

Moreover, the GM has also confirmed that Drew McIntyre will address his actions toward Cody Rhodes, which might set up the championship match between them at Clash in Paris, as fans speculated earlier.

On the other hand, from the SmackDown women’s division, Alexa Bliss will face Piper Niven in a singles match, representing Chelsea Green’s The Secret Service.

Keeping the matches aside for a moment, the coming SmackDown episode is also scheduled to feature a WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, LA Knight, Jacob Fatu, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, and Jade Cargill.

While this is yet to be confirmed, the presence of Randy Orton has led to speculation that he might attack Drew in the middle, ultimately seeking a shot at the Undisputed Championship against Cody Rhodes.
