Who Will Sol Ruca Face in WWE NXT No Mercy 2025?
Sol Ruca has been the WWE Speed Women’s Champion since April 11, 2025, when she defeated the inaugural champion, Candice LeRae, during the Speed tapings.
Since then, Sol Ruca has held the title, successfully retaining it in the last Speed match, which took place on July 9, where she defeated Alba Fyre.

At the August WWE NXT PLE Heatwave, NXT GM Ava announced that she is bringing back the Speed Championship, with participants coming from SmackDown, Raw, AAA, and TNA.
While the details for the Men’s Speed Championship have not yet been set, Ava confirmed that the current champion, Sol Ruca, will defend her title at the upcoming PLE, No Mercy.
The opponent for the WWE Women’s Speed Championship Match will likely be determined through a No. 1 Contender’s Tournament, which begins on September 2.

According to Ava, there will be four participants who could come from any brand or promotion, including TNA, Raw, or AAA. During a backstage segment, she also said;
“I have a pretty big announcement: I’m officially bringing Men’s and Women’s Speed Titles to NXT. But Sol (Ruca), you will be defending your Women’s Speed title at No Mercy. Starting on September 2, there is going to be a tournament, one superstar from RAW or SmackDown, one superstar from NXT, one wrestler from TNA, and one wrestler from AAA. Whoever wins that is your opponent.”
On the latest episode of NXT, GM Ava officially announced the participants for the No. 1 Contender’s Tournament: Candice LeRae from SmackDown, Xia Brookside from TNA, Faby Apache from AAA, and Lainey Reid from NXT.
As the tournament starts next week, the NXT episode will feature Candice LeRae facing Xia Brookside in the opening match.
The winner of that match will then face the winner of Faby Apache vs. Lainey Reid, and the final winner will earn the spot as the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Women’s Speed Championship at No Mercy.
Therefore, analyzing the WWE storyline and fans’ theories, Candice LeRae appears to be a suitable opponent who will face Sol Ruca at No Mercy 2025.
If the theories are correct, it will be exciting to see the inaugural Speed champion once again trying to get back her title from Sol Ruca.
