will aj styles win the ic title

Will AJ Styles Win the IC Title on Tonight’s WWE Raw (September 1, 2025)?

On the WWE Raw before Clash in Paris, General Manager Adam Pearce made it official that Dominik will defend his Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles.

The feud between Dominik and AJ has been ongoing for months, dating back to Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, when AJ lost his title shot as Dom was medically unfit.

Since then, the rivalry has continued to build, and now it may finally be time for WWE to put an end to this conflict.

Tonight’s Raw could be the moment when AJ Styles captures the Intercontinental Championship for the second time in his career.

Despite being one of WWE’s most legendary superstars, AJ has recently been kept out of major wins and top promos. This match could mark the perfect opportunity for a remarkable comeback.

Not only do fans continue to respect AJ, but even 17-time WWE Champion John Cena has shown his admiration. Recently, Cena hit Logan Paul with a Styles Clash as a tribute to AJ.

After the match, John Cena shared his thoughts on multiple WWE stars and expressed how he shows his respect toward them, including “The Phenomenal One.”

“I’ve had a lot of opponents over the years, and with eight appearances left, I know I’m not going be able to wrestle everybody who’s influential in my career, But I think you saw tonight the best way I can say thank you to some of those people who have affected my career, kinda pay homage by taking some stuff and doing stuff I don’t normally do out there. I gotta shout out AJ.

Therefore, it’s likely that AJ Styles will win the Intercontinental Championship match on tonight’s Monday Night Raw and become the new champion.

If this happens, there is further speculation that Sheamus will challenge AJ Styles for the IC title, as he has already hinted that he is targeting the championship.

Sheamus has won almost every title in WWE, but the Intercontinental Championship seems to be the one he has never captured. He even said that it might be “cursed,” and he has wanted to break that streak for several years.

Moreover, regarding tonight’s Raw, although the only confirmed match so far is for the Intercontinental Championship, a few fallout storylines from last night’s Clash in Paris may also be featured in the September 1 episode of Monday Night Raw.
