Will Michael Chandler Join WWE?

Michael Chandler, an American mixed martial artist, might soon join WWE following his talk with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H in July 2025.

This was not the first time Michael Chandler spoke with Triple H, as they had conversations before. However, this time Chandler has expressed a genuine interest in joining WWE or signing with the company.

In his interview with The Schmo, Michael Chandler shared that he had spoken with Triple H about a possible future in WWE. He stated:

So I was talking to WWE or talking to Triple H about my WWE contract So we’re trying to make that happen. He knows I’m a fan of of of WWE and him and the brand Uh he’s obviously a fan of my what I bring to the table from an entertainment standpoint what I can do on the microphone So it’s always fun conversations Who knows if anything is ever going to happen but he knows I want that door to be open and and I think he wants that door to be open too.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, Chandler’s transition to WWE might have potential. He clearly expressed his thoughts on his transition from UFC to WWE and how he can contribute to the industry.

I don’t know about it all but uh WWE seems like a really cool uh transition as well as just everything here This is all about a bunch of high functioning individuals who have a platform who love to continue to get after it and uh the the brand and the the platform keeps growing and impacting people is the most important thing So whatever platform is best for me to do that I’m going to keepdoing it.

It is not the first time that WWE has planned to bring UFC stars into the industry. We already had Brock Lesnar, who rose to fame in WWE as “The Beast” and is still making an impact, recently delivering an F5 to John Cena at a WWE event.

On the other hand, in the women’s division, we had Ronda Rousey, who also came from the UFC and made a lasting impact on the company, despite being there for only a short period.

Therefore, a similar case happening with Michael would not be surprising for WWE. However, some have criticized the idea, arguing that with Michael being almost 40, planning a WWE career seems quite unacceptable.

Not only is Michael a fan of WWE, but he has also seriously considered being there. When asked about his dream opponent, he mentioned Rey Mysterio as the one he would like to face.

Chandler also stated that he would prefer to play the role of a heel rather than a fan-favorite babyface, as it would allow him to shake things up and turn the entire WWE on its head.

With all these considerations, the rumors might eventually turn out to be true, and we could soon see the UFC icon in WWE, showcasing his in-ring skills and taking on opponents.

If this happens, it will definitely be the first time we see Michael Chandler compete as a WWE wrestler, but not the first time we have seen him in a WWE, as he already made an appearance on the February 19, 2024, episode of Raw.
