Wrestlepalooza Promo Puts Celebrities Like Snoop Dogg and George Kittle Ahead of WWE Superstars

NFL tight end George Kittle is the third face to appear in the WWE Wrestlepalooza promo trailer, which WWE recently released following the announcement of the September PLE.

Kittle comes in third, following Snoop Dogg in first and Jelly Roll in second, a lineup that has left many WWE fans dissatisfied with the company’s decision.

Instead of wrestlers, celebrities are being featured in the WWE PLE promotions, leading fans to question WWE’s marketing strategies.

Fans on social media have expressed their dissatisfaction, saying that WWE is destroying its creativity and not giving proper credit and spotlight to the wrestlers.

One user on X (formerly known as Twitter) shared their frustration on this matter, saying:

The first three faces you see are Jelly Roll, Snoop Dogg, and George Kittle. They focus more on celebrities than any actual wrestlers. It takes 15 seconds to show a full-time active wrestler. Do not be fooled, this is all by design, WWE is ashamed to be wrestling.

On the other hand, some fans have compared WWE’s marketing to AEW’s, claiming that AEW might steal fans by giving more spotlight to its wrestlers and presenting authentic wrestling content.

While the upcoming September event, Wrestlepalooza, is set to be released on the same day as AEW All Out, WWE seems to be using celebrity appearances to draw attention and potentially steal AEW’s audience.

Snoop Dogg, Jelly Roll and George Kittle as the first 3 names advertised really shows the difference between WWE and AEW. It’s also why I don’t think there’s gonna be much over lap of WWE stealing fans from AEW for these PPVs.

Moreover, it’s not the first time that these celebrities have featured in WWE media, as we have seen each one of them in the ring as well, most recently, Jelly Roll teaming up with Randy Orton in a match against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre on SummerSlam 2025.

On the other hand, George Kittle is a fan of WWE and has even expressed interest in joining WWE after his NFL retirement.

On WrestleMania 39 on April 1, 2023, during a match between The Miz and Pat McAfee, Kittle was seated ringside when The Miz shoved him.

In response to Miz’s unmannered behavior, Kittle came over the barricade and delivered a clothesline to The Miz, assisting McAfee in securing the victory.

Therefore, we might soon get to see Snoop Dogg, Jelly Roll, and George Kittle once again in WWE, most probably in the September PLE, Wrestlepalooza.
