On SummerSlam 2025, John Cena lost the match against Cody Rhodes, but the loss was not just the end. When Cena was headed out of the Ring, the beast Brock Lesnar made a surprise entry at WWE.
Approaching towards the Ring, Brock hit F5 to the 16-time WWE Champion, trying the SummerSlam night quite tragic for Cena and interesting for fans.
Following the SummerSlam night, fans speculated that Brock would make an appearance on the next day’s Monday Night Raw, but things did not turn out as we had speculated.
While Cena said in his interview that he was not surprised to see Brock at the WWE, and Triple H had already confirmed that it was part of Cena’s Wishlist.
After SummerSlam 2025 night, Cena finally broke his silence to Adam’s Apple, saying ;
“I think SummerSlam was an indication from the audience where everybody kind of knows we’re closing our book. And just because I close my book in December, that doesn’t mean the WWE closes its books. They got to continue their programming going forward. So, they’re just trying to make the most exciting show for the fans, man. I got a dozen of them left. They deal ’em, I play ’em.”
So, analyzing the current scenario and the ongoing storyline of Cena, there are still a few matches left before Cena’s retirement, potentially one of them being with Brock Lesnar.
While Clash in Paris is the next upcoming major premium event in WWE, which is set to be held on August 31, 2025, fans might see the rivalry between Cena and Brock there.
Not confirmed yet by the WWE Officials, but the match between these two legends will definitely take place before December 2025 (Cena’s Retirement), if not in Clash in Prais, then in any other events.
In addition to this, multiple other matches need to happen in the Clash in Paris, one of which is the WWE Championship between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre.

Moreover, some unfinished business in WWE Raw was left after SummerSlam night, the business of the World Heavyweight Championship between Seth and LA Knight.
So, WWE might offer a title match to LA in Paris, which will also give Seth a chance to begin the Rollins Era by defeating Knight in the official game.
