Wrestlepalooza was a professional wrestling event by Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), which first took place in 1995 and ended in 2000.
After the 2000s, WWE acquired the legal rights to Wrestlepalooza footage, hinting at a possible collaboration with ECW in the future, which eventually happened in 2005–2006.
Following the nearly 20-year absence of Wrestlepalooza, there are now rumors that WWE is planning to bring back the ECW-branded event as a new upcoming Premium Live Event (PLE).
While the August PLE Clash in Paris is officially set for August 31, 2025, fans speculate that Wrestlepalooza will serve as the September PLE, likely taking place on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

The speculated date falls directly opposite AEW’s All Out 2025, which will be held at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on the same night, hinting at a possible conflict between these similar platforms.
While the rivalry between WWE and AEW has never been officially acknowledged, if the rumors are true, WWE is clearly aiming for counter-programming.
The event is likely to be held in Indianapolis and may feature Cena vs. Lesnar, with a possible broadcast on ESPN ahead of WWE’s 2026 rights transition.
Along with the rumored PLE title, there is also speculation that the event will feature John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar as the main match, possibly with an exciting twist.

While no official statements have been made by WWE, the continued silence has led fans to believe that the nostalgic event from the 1990s may once again be revived under the WWE banner.
On the other hand, the Wrestlepalooza trademark is still owned by F1RST Wrestling, which could create legal complications for WWE if they attempt to directly use the name.
In addition to Wrestlepalooza, a few other classic event names have also been rumored for the upcoming PLE, including Bad Blood, Unforgiven, and Over the Limit.
